What’s the best way to dispose of kitchen knives?

knives
Just One Girl's Opinion asked:

I'm getting ready to get rid of a set of kitchen knives but I worry about just throwing them away. Anybody know the best way dispose of them?

I didn't know where to ask this. If there is a better forum to ask this question, just let me know.

Have you thought about just donating them to a thrift store?

I do wrap the blades in some masking tape to prevent anyone from cutting themselves.

If the knives are in good condition give them to a charity and take the tax deduction. If they are nicked or bent then wrap them in a thick newspaper, tape it and throw it in the trash bin for disposal in the local landfill (people are not allowed to walk around in landfills until they are covered).

When you buy replacement knives, buy first quality ones, a sharpening stone, learn to use and sharpen them correctly and you will never have to buy and dispose of another set of knives again.

Bury them in the backs of ****** & murderers, and dirty politicians!
